Sauna and steam bath
A few drops of essential oil on the hot stones - conifer steam for easy breathing and a lift of energy.

Add 3–5 drops of essential oil per 100 ml of water for a gentle scent of conifer and herbs at home.

About us
Breath of the Volga makes natural essential oils and hydrosols from wild-harvested and cultivated botanicals of the Volga region: conifer needles, herbs and berries. We distill in small batches and bottle every flask by hand, with no synthetics or added fragrances.
The raw material - conifer needles, herbs or berries - goes into a still, with steam fed in from below. Rising up through it, the steam picks up the volatile aromatic compounds and travels through a pipe into a condenser, where it cools and turns back into liquid.
Oil and water don’t mix: in the receiver, the oil - being lighter - rises to the top and is skimmed off separately. The water below, holding a small trace of the same aromatic compounds, is the hydrosol: the same scent and the same properties as the oil, just gentler.
