Essential oils and hydrosols from Volga region botanicals

Both come from the same botanicals in a single steam distillation. The essential oil is the concentrate: it floats on top of the water in the receiver, is skimmed off and used drop by drop. The hydrosol is the water that keeps a small share of the same aromatic compounds: the same scent and properties, only gentler, which is why it is used as a face and body toner.

We harvest conifer needles and herbs in the Volga region, on clean sites along the Volga river covering more than 68 hectares, far from industrial plants and highways. We process them by steam distillation: our still takes about a tonne of raw material per run. The plant is the only ingredient - no synthetics or added fragrances.

In the sauna, add a few drops to the ladle of water for the stones. In a diffuser or humidifier, use 3–5 drops per 100 ml of water. For skin care, add a few drops to a carrier oil or cream. Do not apply undiluted essential oil to the skin.
